摘要： Systems for retarding setting in an oilfield well cement slurry comprise a solution of a phosphonate selected from methylene phosphonic acid derivatives and a phosphate, in particular selected from the following salts or the corresponding acids: mono-phosphates (ortho-phosphates PO42; meta-phosphates PO3), acyclic poly-phosphates (pyrophosphates P2O74, tripolyphosphates P3O105) or cyclic poly-phosphates. The system preferably may also comprise a retarder booster and is more particularly applicable to cementing at low or medium temperatures.

The hollow element can be hollow spherical or quasi spherical particles including cenospheres, sodium-calcium-borosilicate glass microspheres, silica-alumina microspheres, or a combination thereof. Or the hollow element may be a spherical or quasi spherical void made in the set cement, for example by foaming the cement composition with a gas such as air, nitrogen or a combination thereof. The composition may be used to cement a subterranean well in which carbon dioxide is injected, stored or produced.

摘要： In a process to design high temperature cement sluries, the temperature stable phases (anorthite, wairakite) are selected; aluminum modifiers and silica oxides are added to the dry cement so that the elemental composition of the blend corresponds to the phases selected; the control of the particle size distribution and the relative amount of those minerals allow their addition at high concentration while leaving the slurry easily mixable and pumpable; and the kinetics of the targeted phases formation is then controlled by adjusting the crystallinity and the particles sizes of the different solids.

摘要： The invention provides geopolymeric compositions, which have controllable thickening and setting times for a wide range of temperatures and a large range of geopolymer slurry densities. The geopolymer slurry compositions have good mixability and pumpability, while the set materials develop good compressive strength and permeability. The invention discloses a method for preparing geopolymer for oilfield cementing applications. The geopolymeric compositions according to the invention comprises a suspension comprising an aluminosilicate source, a metal silicate, an alkali activator, lightweight or heavyweight fillers and a carrier fluid wherein the suspension of said geopolymeric composition is pumped in a well and allowed to set.

More particularly, the cementing compositions of the invention are suitable for cementing wells subjected to high temperatures and to chemical attack by brines, and are more suitable when the brine—or a saline formulation close to that of the brine—is used as the mixing water.
