摘要： One exemplary embodiment can be an apparatus for isomerizing a hydrocarbon stream rich in a C4 hydrocarbon and/or at least one of a C5 and C6 hydrocarbon. The apparatus can include: a vessel containing a fluid including at least one reactant; a fluid transfer device receiving the fluid including at least one reactant from the vessel; at least one drier receiving the fluid including at least one reactant from the fluid transfer device; and a reactor communicating with the at least one drier to receive the fluid including at least one reactant. In addition, the at least one drier may communicate with the vessel at least by sending the fluid including at least one reactant or the regenerant through a fluid tapering device for at least one of regulating the flow and reducing the pressure of the regenerant to the vessel.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for the continuous treatment of gas streams contaminated with one or more acid gases, for example HCI, H 2 S, SO 2 , SO 3 , and/or Cl 2 . At least primary and secondary neutralization zones are utilized, with the secondary neutralization zone being fed by a portion of the gas stream that is used to carry out essentially complete neutralization of a neutralization solution, such as aqueous sodium hydroxide, prior to its disposal ( e.g. , via biological treatment). The flow of this portion of the gas stream may be regulated by periodically or continuously monitoring the concentration or pH of the spent neutralization solution exiting the secondary neutralization zone. Suitable gas streams that can be treated include effluent gases comprising hydrogen chloride from hydrocarbon conversion processes, particularly paraffin isomerization processes, utilizing a chloriding agent as a catalyst promoter.

摘要： Embodiments of methods and apparatuses for isomerization of paraffins are provided. In one example, a method comprises the steps of separating an isomerization effluent into a product stream that comprises branched paraffins and a stabilizer overhead vapor stream that comprises HCl, H 2, and C 6 - hydrocarbons. C 6 - hydrocarbons are removed from at least a portion of the stabilizer overhead vapor stream to form a HCl and H 2 -rich stream. An isomerization catalyst is activated using at least a portion of the HCl and H 2 -rich stream to form a chloride-promoted isomerization catalyst. A paraffin feed stream is contacted with the chloride-promoted isomerization catalyst in the presence of hydrogen for isomerization of the paraffins.

摘要： A process increases the concentration of normal paraffins in a feed stream comprising separating a naphtha feed stream into a normal paraffin rich stream and a non-normal paraffin rich stream. The non-normal paraffin rich stream is isomerized over a first isomerization catalyst to convert non-normal paraffins to normal paraffins and produce a first isomerization effluent stream. An iso-C4 stream is separated from the first isomerization effluent stream and isomerized over a second isomerization catalyst to convert iso-C4 hydrocarbons to normal C4 hydrocarbons and produce a second isomerization effluent stream. The normal paraffin rich stream, the normal paraffins in the first isomerization effluent stream and/or the second isomerization effluent stream may be fed to a steam cracker.
