摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide catalysts for converting polyalkylaromatics to monoalkylaromatics, particularly cumene and ethyl benzene which comprise Y-85 or a modified LZ-210 zeolites.SOLUTION: For cumene and ethylbenzene production, a disclosed catalyst, made of 80 wt.% zeolite and 20 wt.% alumina binder on a volatile-free basis, has one or more of the following physical characteristics: (1) an absolute intensity of the Y-85 or the modified LZ-210 zeolite as measured by X-ray diffraction (XRD) of preferably at least 50; and (2) a framework aluminum of the Y-85 or the modified LZ-210 zeolite of preferably at least 60% of the aluminum of the Y-85 or the modified LZ-210 zeolite.

Water facilitates the adsorption of the weakly basic nitrogen compounds. Running an alkylation substrate stream 68 from a fractionation column 40 of elevated temperature and suitable water concentration to the hot adsorbent bed may be advantageous.

摘要： One or more processes for recovering entrained ionic liquid from a hydrocarbon phase containing droplets of ionic liquid are described. The processes includes contacting the hydrocarbon phase containing the droplets of ionic liquid with a retaining material in a separation zone. The droplets of ionic liquid are retained by the retaining material. The ionic liquid may be recovered from the retaining material with a solvent or desorbent. The retaining material may be regenerated and the ionic liquid may be reactivated. The retaining material may be used in a wash vessel to retain or remove contaminant solids within the reactor or other vessels.

摘要： A process for the alkylation of aromatics with olefins using a solid catalyst bed containing UZM-8 zeolite is disclosed. A polyalkylated aromatic is passed to the catalyst bed to reduce the concentration of the olefin at alkylation conditions. A portion of the effluent recovered from the catalyst bed may be recycled to the catalyst bed. Such operation can decrease the catalyst deactivation rate and the formation of diphenylalkanes. The process disclosed herein is applicable to processes for the production of a wide variety of commercially important alkylated aromatics, including ethylbenzene and cumene.

Finally, embodiments of the process also preferably involve routing at least a portion of an effluent stream from the second bed of the first stage di-olefin reactor to a location upstream of the first bed of the first stage di-olefin reactor, such that the effluent stream is configured to be combined with the pyrolysis gasoline stream.
