    • A hair 2 containing device 1 for enveloping wet hair comprises a bag means having an opening (12 figure 2) which is closable about the hair, with an outer layer (30 figure 3) and an inner water impermeable layer(31 figure 3). The impermeable layer may be in the form of a hydrophilic layer laminated to the outer layer made from either cotton, polyester, velvet, nylon plastics or leather. The opening may have a cord-like member 5 arranged to pass through a circumferential enclosed passage retaining means about a neck portion of the bag opening. Alternatively the retaining means may be a series of circumferentially spaced apertures (11 figure 2) around the neck, with the cord-like member woven through the apertures. The hair containing device may also have a securement means 6 which may be a toggle member having at least one aperture (41 figure 4) for retaining the cord-like member. The opposed-ends of which pass through the aperture and a spring biased member is arranged to secure the cord-like member.
