摘要： An aqueous, single phase, liquid hard surface cleaning composition comprises at least 0.1 % by weight of an ester peracid oxidising agent, at least 2 % by weight of perfume and up to 40 % by weight of surfactant. The ester peracid having the general formula (I), wherein R represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and X is from 1 to 4. The use of the composition in in-cistern and rim-mounted toilet cleaning devices is especially envisaged.

摘要： A water spray has a nozzle (6) for carrying a pressurised flow of water to an outlet (7) thereof, and a conduit (12) surrounding the nozzle outlet (7) for carrying a flow of gas contiguously around the flow of cleaning liquid exiting said nozzle outlet (7). The ratio of velocities of gas and water immediately downstream of the nozzle is in the range 0.5 to 2. This enables good control of water droplet size in the spray, to a volume median diameter in the range 0.5 to 2 mm at 1 m from the nozzle. Low water pressures may be employed in cleaning using such a spray.

摘要： When products comprising aqueous solutions of nonionics or nonionic/solvent systems are sprayed as fine droplets to form a discontinuous film, either less cleaning effort can be used with the same level of product, or the same effort can be used with less product. It is believed that the effect is due to the presence of an increased number of menisci and evaporation of the aqueous liquor or part of any solvent component from the product on the surface, and further believed that this evaporation causes local increases in concentration and/or local turbulence which enhances the cleaning process. Accordingly, a first aspect of the invention provides a packaged, aqueous or solvent-containing, nonionic cleaning composition, in a container provided with a spray jet adapted to deliver the composition to a surface in the form of a spray, characterized in that the dosage applied to the surface by each operation of the spraying apparatus falls in the range 0.15-0.5 ml and the said dose is applied over an area of at least 50 cm when the spray is operated 15 cm from the surface. A further aspect of the invention relates to a method using the above-mentionned packaged composition. Preferred compositions have a pH of > 10 and comprises, in admixture with water, nonionic surfactant, solvent, an alkanolamine, buffer/alkali and a polymer.
