摘要： This absorbent article includes: an absorbent body (10); an abdomen-side band member (30a) that is fixed at the widthwise center thereof to one end of the absorbent body in the lengthwise direction while covering said one end from the non-skin side of the absorbent body; and a back-side band member (30b) that is provided along the widthwise direction as a separate member from the abdomen-side band member, and is fixed at the widthwise center thereof to the other end of the absorbent body in the lengthwise direction while covering said other end from the non-skin side of the absorbent body. Elastic members (35) that are expandable along the widthwise direction are respectively provided to the abdomen-side band member and the back-side band member. The absorbent article is formed in a cylindrical manner by joining abdomen-side-band-member side edge sections (30ae) and back-side-band-member side edge sections (30be). The absorbent body includes an absorbent core (11), and a liquid-impermeable leakage prevention sheet (15a) that covers the absorbent core from the non-skin side of the absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a narrow section (11c) between an abdomen-side end section and a back-side end section, with the width of the narrow section in the widthwise direction being narrower than that of the abdomen-side end section and the back-side end section. The positions of the back-side-band-member side edge sections and the narrow section at least partially overlap in the lengthwise direction.

The dorsal- band member includes: continuous dorsal elastic members that are arranged continuously through an area from a lateral one end to a lateral other end; and discontinuous dorsal elastic members arranged discontinuously in the lateral direction. The total magnitude of contractile force of the continuous dorsal elastic member is greater than the total magnitude of contractile force of the continuous ventral elastic member.
