摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the subject germicide composition for vegetables containing a specified aralkylamine derivative or its acid-added salt and a germicide compound having a cell division-inhibiting effect, capable of reducing the dosage, free from chemical damage caused thereby and effective against resistant strains also. CONSTITUTION:A germicide composition containing a compound [e.g. dl-5- chloro-6-methyl-4-(alpha-ethyl-4-difluoromethoxybenzylamino)pyridine] of the formula (R1 is halogen; R2 and R3 are lower alkyl) or its acid-added salt and a germicide compound (e.g. thiophanate methyl) having a cell division-inhibiting effect by 1:(1-5) weight ratio. The above-mentioned composition is prepared into a form such as powder, emulsion, fine particle, granule, wettable powder, oily dispersion or aerosol and used by application thereof to vegetable foliages, the soil, the surface of water in a paddy field, etc.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a germicidal composition, containing a specific germicidal compound and a germicide having ergosterol biosynthetic inhibitory or cell division inhibitory activity, effective even against resistant germs and having a wide germicidal spectrum and synergistic germicidal effects. CONSTITUTION:A germicidal composition, obtained by blending (A) a compound expressed by formula I (R is halogen; R and R are lower alkyl) or an acid addition salt thereof which is a germicide extremely effective especially in controlling powdery mildew and rust of grains with (B) one or more of germicides, e.g. compounds expressed by formulas II to VII, having ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitory or cell division inhibitory activity, developing resistant germs and causing great problems though effective against a wide range of disease injury in a small amount of chemical as active ingredients at a ratio of 0.1-10, preferably 1-5 ingredient (B) based on 1 ingredient (A), having the aforementioned effects and hardly manifesting chemical resistance.

EXAMPLE:N,N-Diethyl-N'-isopropylbenzamidine. USE:An agricultural and horticultural germicide having remarkable control effects, particularly on powdery mildew of various crops, even in a lower amount than the commercially available drug, and on pathogenic fungi of gray mold, anthracnose, blast, etc. with very little phytotoxicity to crops and very low toxicity to men and cattle. PROCESS:A mixture of N,N-diethylbenzamidine with isopropyl iodide is heated for 1hr. After allowing to cool, the mixture is made strongly alkaline with a 25% aqueous solution of NaOH to afford the compound of the formula.

USE:Agricultural and horticultural germicides having powerful control effects on various pathogenic germs, particularly powdery mildew, of crops, with low damage and toxicity. PROCESS:A Grignard reagent is reacted with a secondary amine in a solvent, and the reaction product is reacted with a nitrile under heating. The resulting product is decomposed with ammonium chloride, and treated with a strong alkali to give the objective compound of the formula.
