摘要： A screen assembly for a vibratory separator has been invented, the screen assembly, in certain aspects, having a panel with two connected pairs of spaced-apart sides including a first pair of spaced-apart side separated by a second pair of spaced-apart sides, a plurality of spaced-apart strips extending between the first pair of spaced-apart sides, each adjacent pair of the plurality of spaced-apart strips defining a space therebetween through the panel, a first mesh bonded to the spaced-apart strips, and a second mesh bonded to the backup mesh. In one aspect a third mesh is bonded to the second mesh. In one aspect the strips are formed from a panel piece by cutting material therefrom with a laser.

摘要： A screen assembly for a vibratory separator, the screen assembly comprising a ridge-valley series of screening material (14, 16; 31, 32, 33, 34; 43) having a plurality of alternating ridges (18; 41) and valleys (20; 42) and two spaced apart ends having ridge openings below the ridges, said openings covered with screen or mesh material characterised in that said openings are covered with screen or mesh material (14; 44) in a generally bulbous shape. A vibratory shaker including the screen assembly of the invention. A method for screening using the vibratory separator of the invention said method comprising the step of vibrating said ridge-valley series of screening material, pouring a particle laden fluid on to one of said ridge-valley series of screening material thereon, allowing fluid and predetermined size particles therethrough, and vibrating particles larger than said predetermined size to a far end of one other of said ridge-valley series of screening material.

摘要： A clamp (10) is provided for releasably securing a screen (93) to a basket sidewall of a vibratory screening apparatus. A body of the clamp has a front plate (20) for abutment with plate (18) of the vibratory screening apparatus. A first link (30) is pivoted at (22) to the front plate (20) and has a first contact surface. A second link (40) is pivoted at (32) to the first link and has a second contact surface. A swivel is pivoted at (42) to the second link. A bolt (60) is formed with a head (61) that projects beyond the front plate (20) and a tail that projects beyond the swivel (50). The bolt is tightenable in place by an adjusting nut (66) threaded onto the tail end thereof which in an expanded locking state of the clamp can compress spring washers (64) between itself and the swivel (50). The links (30, 40) can be moved from their release state (Fig. 2B) to their locking state (Fig. 1B) with the pivot (32) between the links preferably travelling through an 'overcentre' position. Adjustment of the nut (66) with the links in the locking position permits the tension applied to the screen (93) to be adjusted after the screen has been clamped into place. Vibratory screen apparatus in which the above clamps can be used is also described.

In one aspect of such a screen assembly the sewing material is thread in a stitch pattern across the at least two screening members, a pattern of expandable material on and corresponding to the stitch pattern, and the thread passing through holes in the pattern of expandable material, the expandable material expanded within the holes following extraction of a needle therefrom, the needle used to apply the sewing material, to inhibit tearing of either of the at least two screening members between holes.
