摘要： A shift control apparatus controls the shifting of a transmission by selecting one power transmitting path at a time from a plurality of paths respectively having different speed reduction ratios. At least one power transmitting path is provided with a one-way clutch and an engine-brake clutch is included in the plurality of paths. The one-way clutch can be locked by the engine-brake clutch. An engine-brake clutch control valve is provided for controlling the engine-brake clutch. Two solenoid valves are provided for controlling the engine brake clutch control valve. When one of the two solenoid valves fails and is inactivated, the other solenoid valve is used to cause the engine-brake clutch control valve to engage the engine-brake clutch.

摘要： A control apparatus for a belt-type continuously variable transmission that has a drive pulley, a driven pulley, a V-belt trained around the drive and driven pulleys, a drive cylinder for varying the pulley width of the drive pulley, and a driven cylinder for varying the pulley width the said driven pulley. A pressure regulator valve produces pulley control pressures supplied to the drive and driven cylinders and a shift valve distributes the pulley control pressures to the drive and driven cylinders for varying the widths of the drive and driven pulleys for speed ratio control. An electric shift control normally controls the shift valve by electric power supplied to solenoid valves but the electric shift control causes the pressures in both the drive cylinder and said driven cylinder to be equal when the electric power is lost.

摘要： A hydraulic control apparatus for a continuously variable transmission includes an inhibit valve that blocks the supply of hydraulic pressure to a reverse-drive brake during forward movement, and an inhibit solenoid valve that relieves the hydraulic pressure in a fluid passage acting on a spool of the inhibit valve so as to move the spool to the closed side and also relieves the hydraulic pressure in another fluid passage acting on a high-pressure regulator valve to urge the same to the low-pressure side, thereby increasing the high fluid pressure. This arrangement is able to improve the transient response of the control apparatus without providing additional pressure control valves as done in the conventional apparatus. The control apparatus can be manufactured with reduced number of components and at a relatively low cost.
