摘要： A system for delivering a contrast medium to a treatment site including a delivery device, and a portable power injector. The delivery device includes a guidewire lumen and a contrast injection lumen, the guidewire lumen and contrast injection lumen being at least partially coaxial. The portable power injector includes an injector body and is configured to contain a contrast medium. The injector body has a plunger disposed therein. The portable power injector also includes a pressure generator, the pressure generator being configured to apply a pressure to the plunger to drive the contrast medium from the injector body and through a distal end of the contrast injection lumen.

摘要： A catheter tip for attachment with an intravascular balloon catheter that is used within a body lumen is disclosed. The catheter tip includes a body portion having a base that is attached to the balloon catheter. The base defines a proximal end of the catheter tip. A head that is attached to the body portion defines a distal end of the catheter tip. An axial cavity, cooperatively defined by the body portion and the head, extends longitudinally from the proximal to the distal end of the catheter tip. The axial cavity receives a first guidewire along which the catheter is moved within the body lumen. An outer surface of the head is shaped in a predetermined manner to control the magnitude of deflection of a second guidewire that is often twisted about the first guidewire in the lumen so as to prevent catheter obstruction by the guidewires during catheter procedures.

The delivery system further includes a tip assembly which during to advancement of the delivery system is configured as a single tip assembly, wherein prior to deployment of the expandable endoprosthesis, the tip assembly is split into a first tip and a second tip, wherein one of the tips remains in a main branch and the second tip is advanced into a side branch lumen to align the endoprosthesis prior to deployment.

摘要： A support catheter that can puncture a heart septum with a guidewire without buckling and that can access difficult to reach arteries such as carotid or renal arteries from the aorta under difficult circumstances is provided. The support catheter comprises a catheter body having a proximal end, a distal end, and an interior wall surface defining a first lumen extending from the proximal end toward the distal end. A second lumen is disposed between the interior wall surface and an outer surface of the catheter body. A plurality of stiffening members is disposed around the second lumen, the plurality of stiffening members being engageable to selectively stiffen the catheter body. In another configuration, the catheter further comprises a second plurality of stiffening members disposed between the first lumen and the second lumen.

摘要： A contoured intraluminal stent for deployment proximate a bifurcated vessel is disclosed. The contoured stent is configured to seat within a side branch of the bifurcated vessel so as to acceptably cover a curvilinear ostium defined at the intersection of the side branch with a main branch of the vessel. A stent deployment system includes a first guidewire positioned in the vessel main branch and a second guidewire that extends through the main branch and into the vessel side branch, wherein the intersection of the branches defines an ostium having a three-dimensionally curvilinear shape. A balloon catheter is tracked along the second guidewire to a position in the side branch proximate the ostium. A contoured stent disposed about the balloon includes a proximal end that defines a curvilinear profile that at least approximately matches the curvilinear shape of the ostium when the stent is deployed in the side branch.
