    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding method of an air bag for a front passenger seat which enhances accuracy in a development direction of the air bag for the front passenger seat.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag for a front passenger seat capable of further stabilizing a deployment direction of left and right airbags. SOLUTION: The airbag 32 is constituted so as to include a left side airbag 44, a right side airbag 46 and a base part 48. A strap 70 for connecting a base end side of the base part and a communication base part 48C is arranged in the base part 48 inflated by jetting a gas from an inflator 28 at operation of the airbag device 10. Further, when the state that the base part 48 is inflated is viewed from side view, the strap is set such that circumferential length L2 at a front side becomes peripheral length L1 at a rear side or longer. Thereby, in the base part 48, a front side is early inflated to stabilize a deployment direction of the left side airbag 44 and the right side airbag 46. Further, the communication base part 48C is pulled by the strap 70, thereby, inflation of the base part 48 is restricted and it becomes non-contact with a windshield glass 56 and the contact is performed at two portions of upper edges of the left and right airbags 44, 46.
