    • PURPOSE:To improve responsiveness and secure the stable traveling performance by gradually increasing the control gain of a controller up to the time which is immediately before hunting and sharply reducing the control gain when the hunting sign is detected from the correlation between the accelerating car speed and the actuator opening degree accelerating speed. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 which outputs a control signal far a motor 21 of an sctuator for controlling the opening degree of a throttle valve 4 applies the control gain to the car speed difference as the difference between the actual car speed and the skip car speed, and the aimed opening degree is obtained by applying the result to the initial opening degree, and the electric conduction of the motor 21 is controlled on the basis of the aimed opening degree. In this case, the control gain is gradually increased up to the time which is immediately before hunting (cyclic variation of accelerating car speed). The hunting sign is detected from the correlation between the accelerating car speed and the actuator opening degree accelerating speed, and when the hunting sign is detected, the control gain is sharply reduced. Accordingly, the high responsiveness and the stable traveling performance can be realized at the same time.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a spring constant suitable to a car height, by a method wherein, in a device which adjusts a car height through variation in the volume of an air cushion, the air cushion is formed with a diaphragm and an air piston being formed by changing configuration of an outer peripheral body in a range where the diaphragm makes contact.
CONSTITUTION: An air suspension 10 has an air cushion 12 located between a car body and a suspension arm, and, coupled with the action of a shock absorber 14, absorbs vibration applied on wheels. The air cushion 12 is formed in a cylindrical shape by rubber and is formed with a diaphragm 16, bent about at its central pat, an air piston 18 with which the inner end part of the diaphragm is engaged, and a housing 20 to which the outer end part of the diaphragm is secured by means of a ring 22. The air piston 18 changes the configuration of an outer peripheral surface in a range where the diaphragm makes contact. The air cushion 12 is adapted to be capable of adjusting a car height by feeding and exhausting compressed air through a hose 30 in and from an air chamber 28 through a hose 30.

    • PURPOSE: To make steering power in times of cornering driving at high speed and that at low speed adjustable in a proper manner, by varying the steering power to some extent according to a car speed and an engine speed.
CONSTITUTION: Assist force by means of hydraulic pressure in a power cylinder 13B varies according to opening in a bypass valve 15 whereby steering power of a steering wheel is reduced to some extent. An electrical controller 20 drives the bypass valve 15 according to each signal given out of an engine speed detecting sensor 21 and a car speed detecting sensor 22. In time of driving at low speed, the bypass valve 15 is kept in anonoperating state or its opening is kept smaller, reducing the wheel steering power. And, in time of cornering driving at high speed, the wheel steering power is controlled in response to decelerating operation and shift operation of a transmission.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the traveling posture of an automobile from getting worse by varying the damping force of a shock absorber for a set time by the control signal for shift-up or shift-down which the electronic controller of an automatic speed change gear generates. CONSTITUTION:A coil 16 is installed in the upper part of the upper movable part 15 of a shock absorber 14, and a rink-shaped core 18 set at the upper edge of a connecting rod 17 fitted into a piston rod 20 is moved upward through the electric conduction of the above-described coil 16. The lower edge of the connecting rod 17 is connected to a flow-rate control valve 19 accommodated in slidable manner in a piston 21 integrally formed with the piston rod 20. Oil circulation between the upper and the lower oil chambers 22 and 23 are carried-out relatively smoothly by deenergizing the coil 16 in ordinary case and setting the flow-rate control valve 19 at the position shown in the figure, and the weakly damped state is maintained. While, when a speed-change instruction signal is output, the coil 16 is brought into conduction, and the passage 25 is closed for a prescribed time by the flow-rate control valve 19, and a strong damped state is formed.
