    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block suitably implementing both early warm-up of an internal combustion engine and suppression of excessive increase in cylinder bore wall face temperature. SOLUTION: In the cylinder block, a water jacket 11 circulating cooling water is formed around cylinder bores 14. A spacer 20 in a shape partitioning between a cylinder bore 14 side (a bore side) and a cylinder block outer wall side (outer wall side) is disposed in the water jacket 11. The spacer 20 is provided with: a communication passage 21 connecting the bore side with the outer wall side of the spacer 20; and a cover body 22 opening/closing the communication passage 21.     • PURPOSE: To make speed control ever so easy, by coupling an output shaft with a ring gear via a torque limiter, while interposing a pin, which is operated by a cam of the output shaft, between the ring gear and a case.
      CONSTITUTION: A planet carrier 19 and a ring gear 5 belonging to an output shaft 27 are coupled together via a torque limiter 17, while a pin 29, which is operated by a cam 23 of the output shaft 27 and capable of engaging with a case 1, is slidably installed inside the ring gear 5. With this constitution, when low load in the output shaft 27 is the case, transfer torque out of an input shaft 15 is transmitted to the output shaft 27 in a high speed, low torque state as it is via the torque limiter 17 but when high load in the output shaft is the case, the torque limiter 17 is released, having the pin 29 engaged with the case 1 by the cam 23, giving low speed, high torque to the output shaft 27, so that speed control can be easily carried out.
