    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake caliper and a vehicular disk brake mechanism capable of suppressing generation of creep groan noise.
      SOLUTION: The caliper 50 of the vehicular disk brake mechanism 10 comprises a mounting bracket 60 for receiving moment force around a rotor rotation shaft from a brake pad 80, which is generated by contact between the brake pad 80 and a pad supporting part 66 during braking operation, and for transmitting the moment force to a support member 20. The pad supporting part 66 on a normal rotation side includes an outer peripheral side contact part 70 which contacts the brake pad 80 on the radial outside of the rotor rotation shaft and an inner peripheral side contact part 76 which contacts the brake pad 80 on the radial inside of the rotor rotation shaft. Either the outer peripheral side contact part 70 or the inner peripheral side contact part 76 is composed of a soft member E which has lower volume elasticity modulus compared with the other. Synthetic resin, for example, is used for the soft member E.

      SOLUTION: An oil ring groove 23 is formed between a piston head portion 14 and the piston skirt portion 16 at an outer circumferential part of the piston, and a slit hole 24 opening to the oil ring groove 23 is formed along the circumferential direction of the piston between the piston head portion 14 and the piston skirt portion 16. In the oil ring groove 23, a heat transfer ring 36 is attached as a component discrete from piston rings, which transfers heat from the piston head portion 14 to the piston skirt portion 16, by pressing its surfaces against both of a side face 23b on the piston head portion 14 side and a side face 23c on the piston skirt portion 16 side inside the oil ring groove 23.
