A sliding layer 22 made of TPV and having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.85 mm is formed on a glass sliding surface of the base bottom part 14 and the seal lips 12 and 13 which can be brought into contact with a movable door glass G. In extrusion molding, extrusion molded parts 6, 7, and 8 of the glass run 5 are molded by extruding TPV with unvulcanized EPDM from an extrusion molding machine so that the viscosity of the TPV extruded at a shear speed of 100 to 1000 (1/s) is 400 (Pa s) or higher.

A foamed body having either one form of a lip shape or a hollow shape is provided on either one member of the seal lips and the side wall opposed to the seal lips with a space with the other member. The glass run main body, both the seal lips and the holding lips are made of an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer material or the finely foamed material. The foamed body is made of the same olefinic thermoplastic elastomer material with a foaming multiplication rate 1.5 to 2.5 times.
