    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for forming a nickel hydrogen secondary battery electrode which improves battery performance by having superior dispersibility of a raw material compounded in the composition and furthermore can form a mixture layer having high flexibility.SOLUTION: A composition for forming a nickel hydrogen secondary battery electrode contains: a nitrogen-containing acrylic emulsion binder (C); an ampholytic resin type dispersant (D) formed by neutralizing at least a part of a carboxyl group in a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing the following monomers; and an aqueous liquid medium (E). An ethylenically unsaturated monomer having an aromatic ring (d1): 5 to 70 wt.%. An ethylenically unsaturated monomer having the carboxyl group (d2): 15 to 60 wt.%. An ethylenically unsaturated monomer having an amino group (d3): 1 to 80 wt.%. A different monomer from monomers (d1) to (d3): 0 to 79 wt.%.(where the total amount of the monomers (d1) to (d3) is 100 wt.%).
