摘要： In this navigation apparatus, when speech recognition of inputted speech is carried out, keywords included in the content of the recognized speech are searched from a dictionary DB, and then these words are displayed as keywords of a POI search. When a correction of a keyword is required by the user, because most errors occur in the first phonetic symbol of the misrecognized word, a search of words each having phonetic symbols in which the first phonetic symbol of the misrecognized word is changed from the phonetic symbols of the word to be corrected (i.e., a search of words having one different first phonetic symbol) is carried out to present candidates for correction. In this navigation apparatus, because the displayed candidates for correction are limited to words having a different first phonetic symbol which has a high possibility of being the cause of misrecognition, the user can correct the misrecognized keyword by a simple operation. Further, it is possible to reduce the process burden as compared to the conventional misrecognition correction processes.

摘要： An image data compression apparatus and image data communication system is disclosed for compressing color image data in relatively simple software process, and compressing a still or moving picture of a color image to be transmitted and/or received thereby. The image data compression apparatus generates image data having pixel data, each of which is constituted by a luminance signal and color difference signals, and generates n.times.m block data. Block components constituted by a plurality of luminance signals, color difference signals, and an n.times.m bit map representing a distribution of luminance signal components, all of which represent the generated blocks, are generated to compress the data.

摘要： A throttle opening detector for internal combustion engine is composed of a slide contact device which has first and second contacts with potential periodically varying in pulse form corresponding to throttle opening variation, phase difference of pulses beteeen said first and second contacts being a fourth of the period, and of a throttle opening reading device which reads out throttle opening from the potential variation in the first and second contacts and variations of exclusive-OR of potential signals in both contacts. The throttle opening detector enables to detect throttle opening precisely using a cheap micro-computer in 2 bits and to carry out the initial adjustment automatically.
