    • A thickness detecting sensor can widely set a dynamic range for detecting the thickness of a medium, and exactly detect the thickness of the medium even when the dynamic range is widely set in this way. Therefore, the thickness detecting sensor has a fixing electrode and a movable electrode arranged so as to be opposed to each other, a plunger for changing the gap between the electrodes by coming in contact with the medium, and a CR oscillating circuit and an FV converting circuit for converting electrostatic capacity stored between the electrodes into an electric signal for detecting the thickness of the medium. The rear end portion of the plunger comes in contact with the electrode face of the gap side of the movable electrode. The movable electrode is displaced in the direction separated from the fixing electrode correspondingly to the thickness of the medium.

    • This slide switch includes: a casing formed in a hollow box shape with an open top; several fixed contacts on the bottom surface of the casing and several terminals connected to them extending to the outside of the casing; a cover mounted to close the open top of the casing, formed with a hole opposed to the fixed contacts; a slide member disposed inside the casing, which has a control portion protruding out through the hole in the cover and a movable contact portion made of a resilient electrically conducting material which bears against the internal bottom surface of the casing and thereby produces a biasing force on the slide member to impel it in the direction towards the cover; and a seal member interposed between the inside of the cover and the side of the slide member facing it, the seal member being squeezed between the slide member and the cover, a seal between the inside of the casing and the outside thereby being produced. The movable contact portion of the slide member, according as the control portion of the slide member is moved from outside the casing, selectively connects together a combination of the fixed contacts. By this seal member being provided, a good sealing performance for the switch is available, and therefore, when the switch is soldered to a printed circuit board and a cleansing fluid is thereafter used for cleansing off solder residue, no contamination is introduced into the slide switch.

    • A single vibration sensor producing multistage outputs corresponding to various vibrational acceleration values is disclosed. This vibration sensor is the type in which vibrational acceleration causes a movable gravitation element to move, and the movement of the element exerts pressure on a plunger which actuates a switch mechanism and outputs a signal. A feature of this vibration sensor is the switch mechanism includes a number of discrete switch units each having a different operating sensitivity. The switch units have a number of movable members which are displaced by the plunger when the vibrational acceleration causes the movable gravitation element to move, and a number of fixed contacts corresponding to these movable members with which the movable contacts come in contact. The spatial relationship of the fixed contacts with respect to the movable members is a feature which determines the operational sensitivity.

The sensor can minimize a detection error, and directly convert the change of capacity into a pulse signal (digital signal) without convertion into an analog, so that the circuit construction be simplified and realized at a reduced cost. The gas meter G includes a gas pressure introducing path 155 formed on a wall of a measuring chamber 154 within its meter body 150, and the pressure sensor S secured on a wall of the measuring chamber 154 through a sealing means the pressure receiving portion of which communicates with the gas pressure introducing path 155, whereby any specific gas introducing tube to introduce the gas into the pressure sensor S is not required and the problems of sealing at an insertion portion of the specific gas introducing tube toward the measuring chamber 156 are resolved.
