    • An electric guitar which is equipped with a piezo pickup wherein the lengths of the strings are not changed by the rotation of the main saddle body in connection with fine tuning and during tremolo performance. The electric guitar has a piezo pickup and has a main saddle body that is held so as to be rotatably adjustable in a back and forth direction about an axle. The main saddle body is held pivotally by a saddle holding member on a base plate on the guitar body. The base plate is installed so as to freely swing with respect to the surface of the guitar body to provide a tremolo effect. The top surface of the piezo pickup constantly contacts the string that is held by the main saddle body, at least during fine tuning, by rotatable adjustment of the main saddle body and in the possible swinging range of the base plate during a tremolo performance, thereby avoiding an out of tune situation during the tremolo performance.

    • A spring and support structure connected through a cam with a rotary shaft for urging the rotary shaft toward a first rotation orientation. The spring urging the shaft to return toward the first rotation orientation when the shaft is rotated off that first orientation. A cam is affixed to and rotates with the shaft. A spring support is pivotally connected to the cam at a bearing between them. A spring extends between the spring support and a support base for urging the shaft and the cam toward the first orientation. The spring support includes a window larger in size than the bearing. The window periphery having an insertion groove in which the bearing sits. The bearing is easily insertable into the window and removable therefrom due to the window size. The spring support is comprised of an inside and outside member which have openings facing in opposite circumferential directions. The spring is hooked in the combined openings and is held there by the arrangement of the inside and outside parts of the spring support.

    • The body of an electric guitar includes a lower member defining the bottom of the guitar and having a concave on its upper surface for receiving an upper member. The concave is defined by a peripheral edge region of the lower member. The periphery of the upper member meets the inner periphery of the peripheral edge region of the lower member at a peripheral joint line. The height of the upper member where it meets the periphery of the lower member has the same height, forming a smooth joint line on the upper surface of the bottom member and in from the edge region. The materials of the upper and lower members differ from each other and/or their colors are different. The outer periphery of the peripheral edge region is rounded in the thickness dimension.

    • A tripod stand for supporting a musical instrument or other object, wherein a main post is provided with an upper slide member to which the upper ends of the three legs of the tripod are hingedly connected. A respective articulated arm connects each leg with the lower portion of the main post. Movement of the slide member up and down causes selective inward and outward movement of the legs. One of the articulated arms is longer than the others and is attached further up its associated leg than the other articulated arms. Consequently, the downward movement of the slide member causes that leg attached to the one arm to move outward further from the main post, making the bottom ends of the legs move from defining an equilateral triangle to defining an isosceles triangle and thereby tilting the main post. Greater stability can be achieved by increasing the angle between the two legs that are opposite the leg having the one longer articulated arm.

    • A fixture for supporting a musical instrument drum, or the like, includes a stem which supports a ball and the ball is clampable between two clamping parts forming a socket for clamping the ball. A pivotable cam draws the two socket parts together or releases them from clamping and unclamping the ball, and the clamp can be oriented at any orientation around the ball. A holding rod for the drum is clamped in a socket between the second of the clamping parts and a third clamping part which is bolted to the second clamping part for clamping the two parts together. Compression springs urge the first and second clamping parts apart and the second and third clamping parts apart respectively against the urging of the cam and of the bolts for tightening the clamping parts together.

    • To prevent the holding arms on a snare drum holder from interfering with either lug bolts on the side of a drum body or a snappy connected below the drum body, there are three snare drum support arms which extend from an upper annular member and are spaced at the unequal angles, not at 120 degrees, so that the arms supporting the snare drum do not pass over or interfere with either the lug bolts or the snappy. The snare drum holding arms are additionally supported by connecting links connected to a lower annular member which is movable along the post on which the upper annular member is held, collapsing or raising the arms for the drum as the lower annular member is moved up and down. The tilt angle of the snare drum holding arms is also adjustable at the post supporting the holder.
