摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel suture assisting instrument for use in surgical operation, particularly in endoscopic operation, in order to facilitate suture of an affected part in surgical operation.
SOLUTION: This suture assisting instrument 1 is composed of a bar-like member 2 and a needle insertion body (resin mass portion) 3, and a spherical needle insertion body (resin mass portion) 3 is fixed integrally to the forward end of the bar-like member 2. The tip of a needle 12 is stuck into the needle insertion body (resin mass portion 3) of the suture assisting instrument 1, and subsequently the bar-like member 2 is operated from the outside to turn the needle insertion body (resin mass portion) 3 in a body cavity. As a result, the needle 12 is turned along an arcuate locus so that it is withdrawn without damaging tissue 15.
