    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling storage facility for radioactive waste which can cool radioactive waste effectively and efficiently, prevent stagnation or heat accumulation from appearing in a storage room and can keep the temperature in the storage room low. SOLUTION: In the cooling storage facility 10F for radioactive waste, housing tubes 20 which can house it are supported and laid out on the side of a ceiling 22 in the storage room 12 and a lower plenum 19 is formed below the storage room 12. While one side of the lower plenum 19 is allowed to communicate with an air supply duct 13, an air exhaust duct 14 is mounted on the wall surface in the upper part of the storage room 12 on the other side of the air supply duct 13. A ceiling heat insulator 25B is mounted on the ceiling 22 of the storage room 12. Wedge-shaped structures 37 are placed in the vicinity of the corners of the ceiling 22 on the side of an entrance wall surface of the air supply duct 13 in the storage room 12 and each of the wedge-shaped structures forms a flat upside guide face 37b. A part of the cooling air allowed to flow from the air supply duct 13 into the storage room 12 is permitted to go around from inclined guide faces 37a of the wedge-shaped structures to the upside guide faces with its cross section shaped like U and to be guided toward the air exhaust duct 14. • PURPOSE:To allow the carrying of equipment into and out of a reactor container by providing an equipment carrying in/out floor to a pit and removably constituting this floor. CONSTITUTION:The equipment carrying in/out tunnel 2 for carrying various kinds of equipment into or out of the reactor container 1 is provided in the side wall part of the container 1. Equipment carrying in/out hatches 5a, 5b are provided openably and closably around a hinge 6 on the outer side of the tunnel 2 and the pit 8 is formed on the floor surface 7 on the outer side of the container 1. Jurnable arms 11a, 11b are provided on the floor surface 7 along the pit 8 and plate bridges 12a, 12b as the floor for equipment carrying in/out are integrally provided on the front ends. The hatch 5a is held closed and the bridge 12a leans on the wall 15 and is thereby held housed at the time of ordinary operation. The hatch 5a is opened around the hinge 6 and exists at 5b position at the time of a periodical inspection. The bridge 12b is put into a horizontal state as the arm 11b turns around the hinge 10. A transporting truck 3 is, therefore, able to go into and out of the container 1 from the tunnel 2 by passing on rails 4a to 4c.
