    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watthour meter making appropriate power transaction performable by monitoring operational conditions. SOLUTION: The electronic watthour meter is provided with an input conversion section 33 for converting voltage inputted from the outside to a digital voltage signal and for converting current that is inputted from the outside and is outputted to a load to a digital current signal; a power computing section 34 for computing a voltage signal and a current signal from the input conversion section 33 for calculating power, for outputting pulse signals including pulses proportional to the calculated power, and for transmitting a signal for diagnosis consisting of the voltage and current signals; a central computing section 35 for integrating pulses included in the pulse signals from the power computing section 34 for calculating electric energy, for receiving a signal for diagnosis transmitted from the power computing section 34, and for diagnosing a metered state in the power computing section 34, based on the received signal for diagnosis; and a displays section 38 for displaying the result of diagnosis made at the central computing section 35. By self-diagnosing the state in operation, an unfair practice is prevented, equipment faults can be readily discovered, and the like, for smooth and appropriate charge transactions. A 1st radio end office 1 detects the radio output sent from the station 105 via its reception circuit by an intermittent carrier sensing action and outputs a carrier detection signal to a control circuit to start its receiving action. The control circuit instructs a self-identification code detection circuit and an identification code detection circuit for other radio end offices to start each detecting action. Then the control circuit detects that an identification code showing the office 3 is transmitted from the station 105 by the input of detection signals of the identification codes of other radio end offices.
