The display region adjusting section 18a then adjusts display regions of the two modes of the synthetic images for parallel display in such a way that an intersection between the puncture guideline and a living tissue located on the shallowest part with respect to the transmission direction of ultrasonic waves is included in the display region. A display control section 18b controls the two synthetic images so that the images may be displayed in parallel on a monitor 2 by using the display regions adjusted by the display region adjusting section 18a.

Then, a reconstitution image for expressing a difference of sensitivity in the ultrasonic contrast with respect to the mechanical work is reconstituted by an image generating circuit 24 and a storage part 30, based on at least the three or more acquired tomographic images.
