    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire tomographic images of the same cross section of a biotissue in an examination for observing the time course of the biotissue. The image processing section 5 generates the image data of a new MPR image in the sectional position based on the sectional position indicated in the sectional position information D1 when acquiring the MPR image in the past and the received result acquired by the new three-dimensional scan using the ultrasonic probe 2.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which secures sufficient cooling capacity and nonetheless is not enlarged. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe has a heat radiator 6 in which many refrigerant paths 6c with hollow inside are connected in parallel and which is arranged along the surface on the inner side of a connector case 12. By connecting many refrigerant 6c with each other in parallel, the surface area (heat radiation area) of the heat radiator 6 is increased in size and thus the ratio of the surface area to the size of the heat radiator 6 is increased in size. Also, since heat discharged from the heat radiator 6 is conducted directly to the connector 12, the heat is easily discharged to the outside of the connector case 12. Further, since the heat radiator 6 is arranged along the surface on the inner side of the connector case 12, it is made possible to reduce a space occupied by the heat radiator 6 inside the connector case.
