    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a work in a wide range in a short period of time with less manpower and without using a crane too much when performing the work such as inspection and maintenance of the inner surface of in-reactor piping such as a jet pump.
      SOLUTION: Horizontal movement stages 8, 9 are placed on a cylindrical structure 7 in a reactor pressure vessel 1, travel horizontally along the upper part of the cylindrical structure 7 by wheels, and are positioned above the in-reactor piping 3 by the operation of the horizontal movement stages 8, 9. A hollow mast 10 is conveyed by the horizontal movement stages 8, 9, and is expandable and contractable when it is in a standing posture. A probe 13 is movable in the mast when the mast 10 is in a standing posture, wherein the work is performed in the vicinity of the inner surface of the in-reactor piping 3. A cable 14 penetrates through the mast 10 and is connected to the probe 13.
