      SOLUTION: Since sludge is modified by providing a heater 5 or a pressure holding device 8 to piping 3 for transferring sludge to a treatment apparatus 9 of a next stage by a pump 4 to control the temperature and pressure in the piping 3, existing piping can also be utilized and it is unnecessary to newly prepare large-scaled equipment such as a heat exchanger to reduce an equipment cost. Further, this sludge treatment method can be adapted to sludge of every kind containing tap water sludge to expand an adaptation range.
