    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cool a refrigerating compartment and maintain high moisture content and cooling performance in a vegetable compartment, and to increase the volume for storing vegetable in a case by improving the cooling constitution of the case in the vegetable compartment.
      SOLUTION: This refrigerator is provided with the vegetable compartment 7 in which the case 25, the top face of which is opened, is held by a support frame fitted to the back of a door 17 to open and close the front opening by a drawer system, and the case is put in and out, the space up to the ceiling surface of the vegetable compartment is sealed for keeping cold air by a crisper cover 27 disposed on the upper part of the back of the vegetable compartment over the full width of the interior, and the cover is engaged with the upper end of a rear wall in the closed state of the door to seal the space for keeping the cold air, whereby the cold air from a cold air inlet 28 provided at the upper part of the back of the vegetable compartment is circulated to flow down the back 30 of the vegetable compartment to thereby directly cool the interior of the case, and return to a cooler from a suction port 31 formed at the lower side.

      SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises the fin tube type cooler 5 for cooling the inside of a storage chamber; the temperature detector 9 provided in a heat conductible manner at the refrigerant pipe 10 at the upper part of the cooler; a fixture 11 for holding the temperature detector and the refrigerant pipe integrally; an evaporator cover 12 formed of a synthetic resin plate body which covers the indoor side face of the cooler; and an engaging piece 13 formed at the upper end of the evaporator cover to lock the fixture for holding the temperature detector. An engaging rib 13a of the engaging piece is engaged with a fitting piece 11c formed at the fixture, and a locking hook 13b is engaged with the refrigerant pipe held to the fixture, to fix the refrigerant pipe together with the fixture.
