    • A connector for connecting an FFC to a substrate includes a plurality of signal contacts, a ground contact, and a housing. The signal contacts are arranged to come into contact with signal terminals of the FFC. The ground contact comes into contact with the ground terminal of the FFC. The housing holds the plurality of signal contacts and the ground contact. A first distance from an end of the housing to a contact point of each signal contact with each signal terminal is set to be substantially equal to a second distance from an end of the housing to a contact point of the ground contact with the ground terminal. The first and second distances are measured along a direction in which one of the FFC and the FPC is inserted into or removed from the connector.

    • A method for reconstructing corroded pipes is disclosed in which a long, new pipe can be inserted smoothly and without excessive force, into an older pipe. The method involves the insertion of a new pipe into an old pipe using a dolly to transfer the reaction force. The tail end of the new pipe is attached to the dolly, and the front end of the new pipe is sealed off. A plug is inserted into the dolly from the tail end of the new pipe, which is filled with pressurized water. The dolly is then moved in the direction of the old pipe to insert the new pipe into the old pipe.

    • A reproduction process for an existing pipeline whether underground or overground includes the inserting of at least one rigid inner pipe having its front end temporarily blocked, and advancing the rigid inner pipe within the existing pipeline by means of fluid pressure applied to the interior of said inner pipe, or to the end of said inner pipe. Preferrably a rust-proof binding substance between the inner pipe and the existing pipeline is provided to unify the two pipes and provide a new integral pipeline. The new rigid inner pipeline may be made in sections which may be welded together as they are being inserted and are preferrably provided with bumps or projections around the external surface of the new rigid inner pipe in a spiral form.

    • A refurbishing method for an existing pipeline under the sea or on the ground by inserting a rigid inner pipe having its front end temporarily blocked includes (a) driving the rigid pipe by increasing the volume of the fluid filled and sealed in the new pipe, (b) driving the new pipe by an axial force with the aid of a holder at the rear rim of the new pipe, and (c) regulating the movement of the new pipe. An apparatus to carry out the above-mentioned method is also provided. After inserting one pipe, all defines of the apparatus are detached, then another new pipe is connected, and repeated insertions end up as complete pipeline.
