摘要： In a case where a secondary use of a communication line which is provided as a communication service is permitted, an appropriate communication charge to be charged to each user is computed in order to promote the use of the communication line. There is provided a communication relay system providing communication service which connects a communication device to an existing communication network. The communication relay system includes a communication relaying unit which connects a primary communication device connected to a predetermined primary communication line to the communication network to relay communication between the primary communication device used by a subscriber and the communication network; an account database which records a communication charge for communication performed by the primary communication device with the communication relay system through the primary communication line; and an accounting unit which reduces the amount of the communication charge recorded in the account database, if another subscriber connects a secondary communication device to the primary communication device and the communication relaying unit connects the secondary communication device to the communication network through the primary communication line.

摘要： A bar code is added to a printed medium having one or more images visible to the human eye. The bar code is printed with ink invisible to the human eye. The bar code as printed on the printed medium with ink invisible to the human eye is then detected, such as by a computing device like a mobile phone-type device. Information relating to the images on the printed medium is decoded from the bar code and transmitted to an electronic service. In return, electronically encoded information relating to the images on the printed medium is received from the electronic service and displayed.

摘要： A relay adapter, a method for processing communication data through use of a relay adapter, and a process for leasing the relay adapter to a user by a service provider. The relay adapter includes: an authentication information storage section that stores authentication information of the relay adapter; a power plug; a power socket; and a push switch within the power plug or power socket. The push switch may be depressed. The power plug is detected to be plugged into a power socket of the user. The power socket is connected to a control server by a power line carrying a power signal. Responsive to ascertaining that the push switch is not depressed, mutual authentication is enabled between the relay adapter and the control server. After the mutual authentication, communication data is relayed from an information processing device of the user to a service provider server via the control server.
