    • PURPOSE:To provide the properties of dustproofing and stainproofing, and the durability of wiping-work by a process wherein a sheet-shaped substance made of synthetic fiber mainly composed of an extra fine fiber with a specified denier, at least its surface layer, consists of the synthetic fiber which is made by compounding a hydrophilic radical to a polymer chain of a polymer forming its fiber by a plasma aftertreatment. CONSTITUTION:This fiber is mainly composed of an extra fine fiber. It is desirable that the percentage of the extra fine fiber existing on the surface of a cloth is 80wt.% at least, and 90wt.% and over if possible. The single fiber fineness of the extra fine fiber is 0.00001 to 0.9 denier, to 0.9 denier and below if possible, and to 0.2 denier and below if furthermore possible. The fiber composed of a sheet-shaped substance, at least its surface layer, consists of the synthetic fiber which is made by compounding a hydrophilic radical to a polymer chain of polymer forming its fiber. Since a plasma aftertreatment shows the most desirable property to the synthetic fiber compounded the hydrophilic radical, its treatment is suitable for this fiber. The plasma aftertreatment is a process that the fiber is exposed to glow discharge which is produced by high-voltage being applied in a vacuumed gaseous atmosphere of 50Torr and below under normal conditions, and 0.01 to 10Torr, if possible.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain waterproof laminated cloth generating no contamination of a water proof resin layer and also generating no discoloration and fading of base cloth or no lowering of dye fastness by dispersing and containing porous adsorbable org. particles in the water proof resin layer. CONSTITUTION:Waterproof laminated cloth is formed by providing a waterproof resin layer to the single surface of cloth containing a synthetic fiber dyed with a disperse dye and dispersing and containing porous adsorbable org. particles in the water proof resin layer. As the porous adsorbable org. particles, cellulose is especially used from the aspect of easy handling and excellent dispersibility and the mean particle size thereof is 0.1 - 200mum from such a viewpoint that flocculation is prevented and no adverse effect is exerted on the characteristics of the waterproof resin layer. From the viewpoint of the prevention of the migration of the disperse dye and the physical properties of the waterproof resin layer, it is pref. contain 1 - 50 wt.% of the porous adsorbable org. particles in the waterproof resin layer of the waterproof laminated cloth. From such a viewpoint that the migration of the disperse dye from the base cloth to the waterproof resin layer and the migration of the disperse dye to the waterproof resin layer of separate waterproof laminated cloth are prevented, porous adsorbable org. particles are arranged in the vicinity of the interface and surface of the waterproof resin layer on the side of the base cloth in a dispersed state.
