    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact tap switching device capable of performing high-speed silent tap switching with a simple structure in which a driving mechanism is reduced, and to provide an inexpensive silent and space-saving type on-load tap switching pole transformer employing the tap switching device.SOLUTION: A tap switching device 2 includes a solenoid driving unit which performs tap-raising driving by driving main contact driving solenoids 65a, 65b, 65c, 65d, and 65e and a current-limiting resistance contact driving solenoid 66a when tap-raising control is performed from the outside, and performs tap-lowering driving by driving the main contact driving solenoids and the current-limiting resistance contact driving solenoid when tap-lowering control is performed from the outside. Further, an on-load tap switching pole transformer includes the tap switching device mounted thereon.
