    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric contact material manufacturing method and an electric contact material capable of appropriately setting amount of graphite on the surface of a metal body. SOLUTION: A photosensitive drum 13 is charged with electricity by a static charging mechanism 14, the photosensitive drum 13 after the static charging is rotated for a given number of times, and then, an exposure mechanism 15 irradiates light on the photosensitive drum 13 to form a latent electrostatic image on the surface of the drum 13. The photosensitive drum 13 is further rotated with a prescribed angle, a development mechanism 16 develops charged graphite particles on the photosensitive drum, and the graphite particles are adhered to the latent electrostatic image of the photosensitive drum. Next, a part with the graphite particles adhered of the photosensitive drum 13 is made rotated up to a position where it faces a sample 11, and a transfer mechanism 17 transfers the graphite particles to the sample 11 by giving reverse charge on the rear surface of the sample 11.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric contact material manufacturing method and an electric contact material capable of improving fixing property of graphite contained in plating.
      SOLUTION: Silver plating 8 is formed on the surface of a parent material of the electric contact material 10 by electric plating. In doing so, powder of graphite 9 is mixed into a plating liquid, so that the graphite 9 is dispersed in the silver plating 8. Since the graphite itself has lubrication action, when a material with the silver plating 8 containing graphite 9 is used as an electric contact material 10, lubricants such as grease or oil do not have to be coated, therefore, the electric contact material 10 is used as grease-less sliding contacts. After forming the silver plating, the electric contact material 10 is put under pressurizing treatment for plastic deformation of a surface 8a of the silver plating 8, and the graphite 9 on the surface 8a is fixed on the silver plating 8.

      SOLUTION: In applying electric plating on a parent material 2, overcurrent is made to flow at an initial stage of the electric plating, and afterwards, normal current is made to flow to form a silver plating on the parent material 2. For this treatment, first, an amount of the parent material 2 necessary for plating is rolled for leading it into a first plating tub 3a as a tub in which overcurrent is circulated. As the parent material 2 is set in the first plating tub 3a, overcurrent is made to flow between the parent material 2 dipped in plating liquid 4 and electrodes to form silver plating on the parent material 2 dipped in the plating liquid 4. Further, a part where the silver plating is formed in the first plating tub 3a is set in a second plating tub 3b, a normal-value current is made to flow between the parent material and the electrodes, and a silver component is piled on the above silver plating to form a silver plating with a necessary thickness.
