摘要： A sterilized device for storing and transferring a tissue sample collected in a sterile field is provided having a hermetically sealed package containing a tissue storage chamber sealed with a removable cap creating a sample storage chamber housing a tissue preservation agent. The package may be provided as a lid sealed to a tray, a plastic bag that is sealed, or two pieces of plastic sealed along the edges. An interior compartment is created within the package, which is sterile along with the sample container and its contents. A tissue preservation agent is provided to stabilized RNA in a tissue sample. The sterilized device is intended for use in storing and transferring a tissue sample from a patient while in a sterile field. The sterilized device is a single assembly that eliminates disrupting a sterile field in an operating room and transferring an exposed tissue sample out of the sterile field.

摘要： A method and apparatus for the automatic composition of media articles is disclosed. Previous attempts to do this have involved the manual production of a detailed framework listing the types of media elements that might be inserted into the slots specified in that framework and the subsequent selection of media elements for those slots. The present invention improves upon this by associating metadata (51) with the media elements in a content store, which metadata includes relationship data indicating how what is portrayed by that media element relates to what is portrayed by one or more other media elements. Because relationship metadata is included media articles can be generated automatically with the need for the production of a detailed framework describing that media article.

摘要： A mobile fireproofing and specialty coating apparatus comprising a trailer, a generator mounted on the trailer, and a fuel tank connected to the generator for powering the generator. There is a work platform mounted to the trailer to allow the operators to work directly on the unit. A mixer for mixing a dry product with water is mounted on the work platform and comprises a vat, a rotatable mixing tool and a motor for rotating the mixing tool. The motor is powered by the generator. A pump is connected to the generator and is mounted adjacent the mixer. A hose is connected to the pump and to a spray nozzle for spraying the product. There is a second mixer for mixing accelerator with water mounted on the work platform, and comprises a mixing tank, a rotatable mixing tool and a motor connected to the mixing tool and the generator. There is a second pump for pumping the accelerator, and a second hose connected to the second pump and to the nozzle to mix the accelerator with the product immediately prior to spraying. A tool box is mounted to the work platform and there is scaffolding mounted to the trailer, so that the mobile unit is completely self contained and allows the operators to complete a spraying job without any outside support, except for a water source.

摘要： A tissue biopsy cell suspender device includes a receptacle having a sealable opening. The receptacle contains a sufficient quantity of an aqueous medium to support an enzymatic dissociation of cells from a tissue biopsy sample. The device has a removable closure with a first sealing position and a second sealing position for sealing the opening in the receptacle. The device further includes a frangible container having a sufficient quantity of an enzyme therein to dissociate cells from the tissue biopsy sample. The frangible container is covered with a membrane that is permeable to water and to the enzyme. The frangible container is disposed within the receptacle so that the container is intact when the closure is in the first sealing position and the container is breached when the closure is in the second sealing position. When the frangible container is breached, the enzyme is released to permeate into the medium and for dissociation of the cells from the tissue sample.
