    • The present invention provides a method of finishing a wood surface for exterior exposure of the wood using a finishing film material in the form of a sheet. The finishing film comprises a flexible polymeric sheet material having a first major surface and a second major surface and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer covering at least a portion of the first major surface of the sheet material. The finishing film is adhered to the surface to the wood surface by the adhesive layer. The method of the present invention is particularly suitable for the finishing of brightwork on boats, for example, teak or mahogany brightwork. The method of the present invention is particularly suitable for finishing curved and/or compound curved surfaces due to the flexibility and elongation of the finishing film.

    • A portable cordless inspection light assembly including a lamp capable of producing a spectral distribution, which is substantially identical to daylight, color temperature. The lamp has a reflector portion around its bulb and a light outlet lens across its large end. The light includes a housing having a generally tubular housing portion. The lamp is mounted within an opening in that housing portion adjacent one end with its large end across the opening and its reflector portion extending along the opening toward the opposite end of the housing portion. Passageway portions of the through opening are provided around the large end of the lamp, and a fan assembly within the opening can propel air through the opening over the outer surface of the lamp and through those passageway portions to cool the lamp. The housing includes a manually engageable handle portion, and supports a rechargeable battery by which the bulb and fan assembly can be activated.

    • A pipe-bending apparatus comprises an elongate structure having a longitudinal work surface at, or adjacent to, opposite ends of which clamping means and a former are respectively mounted. The former is held fast on the work surface, and the clamping means is power-driven towards and away from it by a double-acting hydraulic ram. A series of formers are provided, each having, in plan, a semi-circular anvil mountable to face the clamping means. The anvils are each of concave vertical cross-section and of different radius from one another, with peripheral walls to locate a pipe in position in the anvil during a bending operation. The ram is supplied from a tank containing a hydraulic fluid tank which--together with the necessary hydraulic pump and electric motor--is mounted beneath the work surface.
