摘要： A light-emitting device comprises a light-emitting member, which comprises two electrodes and an organic electroluminescent material disposed between the electrodes, and at least one organic photoluminescent (“PL”) material. The light-emitting member emits light having a first spectrum in response to a voltage applied across the two electrodes. The organic PL material absorbs a portion of the light emitted by the light-emitting member and emits light having second spectrum different than the first spectrum. The light-emitting device can include an inorganic PL material that absorbs another portion of the light emitted from the light-emitting member and emits light having a third spectrum different than both the first and the second spectra.

摘要： A mechanically flexible and environmentally stable organic electroluminescent (“EL”) device with directional light emission comprises an organic EL member disposed on a flexible substrate, a surface of which is coated with a multilayer barrier coating which includes at least one sublayer of a substantially transparent organic polymer and at least one sublayer of a substantially transparent inorganic material. The device includes a reflective metal layer disposed on the organic EL member opposite to the substrate. The reflective metal layer provides an increased external quantum efficiency of the device. The reflective metal layer and the multilayer barrier coating form a seal around the organic EL member to reduce the degradation of the device due to environmental elements.

The organic light-emitting device comprises an organic light-emitting layer disposed between a pair of electrodes, and at least a charge-blocking layer disposed between the organic light-emitting layer and one of the electrodes. The phosphor layer typically absorbs less than all of the light emitted by the organic light-emitting layer and typically covers the entire organic light-emitting device. The light emitted by the organic light-emitting layer is mixed with the light emitted by the phosphor layer to produce light having a third spectrum.

摘要： The present invention relates to an area illumination light source comprising a plurality of individual OLED panels. The individual OLED panels are configured in a physically modular fashion. Each OLED panel comprising a plurality of OLED devices. A power supply unit capable of delivering varying levels of voltage simultaneously to the first and second electrodes of each of the individual OLED panels is also provided. 摘要： Provided are organic device packages configured to limit current flow through shorted sub-elements in the organic device. In some embodiments, the organic device package may include multiple elements, each having multiple sub-elements connected in parallel. Each element may have a first electrode patterned into thin electrode strips connected in parallel, and each of the electrode strips may be an electrode of one of the multiple sub-elements. The electrode strips may have a resistance which may be higher than the overall resistance of other sub-elements in the element, such that a current flowing to the element may be substantially limited from flowing through a shorted sub-element in the element. Each element may also be connected in series to another element in the organic device package, and one or more series-connected elements may also be connected in parallel within the package.
