摘要： The invention provides a fluid for use in a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore, the fluid comprising: (a) water; (b) an orthoester; and (c) a surfactant comprising a tertiary alkyl amine ethoxylate generally represented by the following formula: wherein R is an alkyl group or aryl group, and wherein X and Y are each independently at least one. The invention also provides a method of fracturing a subterranean formation, comprising the step of forming a foamed fracturing fluid comprising water; an orthoester; a surfactant comprising a tertiary alkyl amine ethoxylate generally represented by the formula above; and a gas. The method also provides the step of introducing the foamed fracturing fluid into a subterranean formation at a pressure sufficient to create a fracture in the subterranean formation.

In a described embodiment, a method of contacting an assembly with a generally tubular string in a subterranean well includes the steps of: suspending the tubular string in the well, the tubular string extending into a surface structure; and then displacing the assembly through the structure into contact with an exterior of the tubular string. The assembly can selectively contact any one of several tubular strings or other objects within a wellhead or casing. The assembly can be permanently or temporarily used on the well.

摘要： A system and method for fracturing an earth formation surrounding a borehole includes an elongate conduit positioned in the borehole. A packer assembly is provided about the conduit and is adapted to seal an annulus between the conduit and the borehole. A packing passage is provided and adapted to communicate a first side of the packer assembly to the annulus between the conduit and the borehole on a second side of the packer assembly. The conduit has at least one inlet into the conduit on the second side of the packer assembly adapted to allow flow from outside of the conduit to the interior of the conduit. The conduit has at least one ported sub having at least one lateral jet aperture therein adapted to direct fluids within the conduit into the earth formation to fracture the earth formation.

摘要： Methods are provided that include a method comprising providing a viscosified treatment fluid comprising a base fluid and a gelling agent that comprises a clarified xanthan; and placing the viscosified treatment fluid into at least a portion of a subterranean formation. In some embodiments, the method comprises placing the viscosified treatment fluid into at least a portion of a subterranean formation at a pressure sufficient to create or enhance at least one fracture in the subterranean formation. In some embodiments, the viscosified treatment fluid may also comprise a plurality of particulates. In some embodiments, the viscosified treatment fluids may be placed into at least a portion of a pipeline. Additional methods are also provided.
