    • A rotational angle sensor and a connector are provided at a first-side portion and a second-side portion, respectively, of a sensor holder. The first-side portion is engaged with a base through a primary engaging arrangement, and the second-side portion is engaged with the base through a secondary engaging arrangement. The secondary engaging arrangement includes secondary engaging portions of the sensor holder, which are provided in the second-side portion of the sensor holder and are engaged with the base. A distance from an engaging point between the secondary engaging portion of the sensor holder and the base to the sensor is longer than a distance from the engaging point between the secondary engaging portion of the sensor holder and the base to the connector.

    • An accelerator pedal is engaged with the rotor so that the accelerator pedal is pivotable about a rotation axis. A coil spring is arranged on a biasing axis that is generally tangential to an arc path, along which a protrusion of the rotor passes when the rotor rotates about the rotation axis. A holder is interposed between the protrusion of the rotor and the coil spring. A concave surface of the holder contacts a convex surface of the protrusion. A receiving portion of the holder receives the coil spring. The contact point is located between a second end and a first end of the coil spring. The concave surface of the holder and the convex surface of the protrusion are curved to satisfy a predetermined relationship.

    • An accelerator pedal rotates a pedal rotor when depressed. Rotors located on both sides of the pedal rotor are relatively rotatable to the pedal rotor. Second helical teeth of the rotors project toward the pedal rotor and engage with first helical teeth of the pedal rotor to bias the rotors when the pedal rotor rotates in the accelerator opening direction. The pedal rotor is rotatable to an accelerator full-close position without interfering with the first helical teeth when the pedal rotor rotates in an accelerator closing direction. A first biasing unit biases the rotors in the accelerator closing direction. A second biasing unit biases the accelerator pedal or the pedal rotor in the accelerator closing direction.

    • A device for detecting deterioration degree of oil is composed of an electrode unit in a cylindrical coil shape and a detector circuit connected to the electrode unit. The electrode unit is composed of a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate, both wound in a coil shape with an insulating layer disposed therebetween. The electrode unit is dipped in oil, and a potential difference between the electrode plates is measured by the detector circuit. The oil deterioration degree is detected based on the potential difference that varies according to a pH level of the oil. A distance between the first and the second electrode plates is kept small and precise to enhance accuracy in detecting oil deterioration without making the detector size large.
