    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which purifies and recycles not only coarse-grained soil but also fine-grained soil by directly passing suspended water containing fine-grained soil classified by soil washing and dioxins through a compact photocatalytic device to oxidatively oxidize and detoxify the dioxins.
      SOLUTION: Contaminated soil 25 is immersed and left in an aqueous solution containing a cleaning agent, such as a surfactant 27, in a temporary tank 26. The contaminated soil 25 is washed in a first washing device 28. The contaminated soil 25 is carried into a temporary tank 29 to be stirred for a fixed time. The supernatant wastewater 30 is sent to a water storage tank 31, and the contaminated soil 25 is rinsed in a second washing device 32. Subsequently the contaminated soil 25 is classified in a vibrating screen classifier 34. The photocatalytic device 39 oxidatively decomposes and detoxifies dioxins (DXN
      s ) adhering to fine-grained soil 36 and organic matter.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improvement construction method by horizontal high-pressure injection stirring which suppresses hole bending occurring at drilling to a minimum level to maintain the precision of the straightness of an improved material, improves work efficiency, reduces a risk of a trouble involved in handing over of work, and cuts down cost. SOLUTION: In the soil improvement construction method by high-pressure injection stirring, a land-making pipe 1 is inserted almost horizontally in the ground G, and in this state high-pressure grout is injected or the grout is injected with a jet of high-pressure water or with a jet of compressed air via the land-making pipe 1 to stir and mix the grout to make an improved material centering around the land-making pipe 1. After a preceding improved material obtains prescribed compression strength, a new improved material is formed on the underground unimproved side in contact with the deepest part of the preceding improved material. This process is repeated in sequence to form a series of separated pieces of improved materials each having a prescribed length to form an improved material composed of the separated pieces of improved materials as a whole.
