摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device capable of ensuring electrical contact sufficiently between the upper lid and lower lid constituting the case of the electrochemical device and an electrode constituting an element being contained in the case, and capable of attaining excellent charge/discharge characteristics.
SOLUTION: The electrochemical device comprises an element 60 having an anode 10 and a cathode 20, an electrolyte, and a case 50 for containing the element 60 and electrolyte under enclosed state wherein the case 50 has an upper lid 52, a lower lid 54 and a gasket 56. A protrusion protruding to the element 60 side is provided on at least one of the upper lid 52 and lower lid 54 such that the upper lid 52 touches the anode 10 electrically and the lower lid 54 touches the cathode 20 electrically.

SOLUTION: The electrodes comprise an active material layer and a collector layer by coating one surface of the collector layer with a coating liquid containing an active substance. The electrodes are allowed to oppose each other while sandwiching a separator so that the active material layers oppose each other. An electrolyte is contained in the electrodes and the separator to compose one cell, a conductor that is larger than a cell and is nearly plane is arranged on the uppermost and lowermost layers of the cell, a heat-bonding seal member is held between the opposing surfaces of the conductor projecting from the cell, and the entire periphery is adhered and sealed under a pressure-reduced environment. SOLUTION: The electrochemical device comprises a power generation element 10 consisting of a first electrode 12, a second electrode 13, and an electrolyte interposed between the electrodes 12 and 13, a pair of current collectors 20 and 21, one of which is in contact with the first electrode 12 and the other in contact with the second electrode 13, which are located face to face with each other with the power generation element 10 put therebetween, and a sealing material 30 which is located between the pair of current collectors 20 and 21 so as to surround the power generation element 10 and seals the pair of current collectors 20 and 21. The sealing material 30 comprises thermoplastic high molecular layers 31 and 33 which are formed on the pair of current collectors 20 and 21 respectively and a crosslinked high molecular layer 32 interposed between the thermoplastic high molecular layers 31 and 33.
