    • A droplet discharging apparatus has a pressure chamber communicating with a nozzle, a vibration film forming a part of the pressure chamber, a piezoelectric element for vibrating the vibration film, a projection joined to the piezoelectric element and transmitting vibration of the piezoelectric element to the vibration film, and a flow path communicating with the pressure chamber. The apparatus has first and second members, with the vibration film, the projection, a groove, and a supply hole communicating with the groove being provided at the first member. The nozzle and the pressure chamber are formed in the second member. The first member and the second member are bonded together to form the flow path in the groove and also the pressure chamber in the recess. The groove and the recess partially overlap to form the flow path and the pressure chamber. A method is disclosed for manufacturing the droplet discharging apparatus.

    • A droplet discharging apparatus has a flow path connected to a liquid supply path. A nozzle is located downstream of the flow path and discharges liquid drops. A pressure generation element generates pressure for discharging the liquid from the nozzle. The flow path is bent and has a first flow path connected to the liquid supply path and a second flow path connected to the downstream side of the first flow path and causing the liquid to flow in the different direction from the first flow path. That portion of the bend which is from an outer corner of the bend to an outer wall portion of the second flow path is formed in a smooth shape. At the connected sections, the width of the second flow path normal to the direction of flow of the first flow path is set smaller than the width of the first flow path.

    • A personal communication apparatus is disclosed, which comprises a radio transmitter 64 and a radio receiver 66 for participating in communication, a microphone 60, a loudspeaker 61, a processor 90 as a controller for controlling call switching communication and packet switching communication, a ROM 100 and a RAM 101 for storing control programs and data, a call switching modem 80 for modulating signal in the speech frequency band, and a packet switching modem 82 for modulating signal in a frequency band exceeding the speech frequency band. The outputs of the microphone 60 and call switching modem 80 are bandwidth limited by a transmission signal processing circuit 72. Communication by the packet switching modem is carried out according to a communication program. The apparatus is capable of stand alone call switching communication and also of packet switching communication, as well as functioning as a radio telephone set.
