摘要： A compact and inexpensive LCD is provided by improving a drive method for compensating a crosstalk using a compensating pulse added to a signal voltage so that a drive IC and a periphery of the LCD panel are reduced in size. Only one of positive and negative compensating pulses is added in accordance with a predetermined period. Alternatively, the two compensating pulses are added at different times from each other in one horizontal scanning period. The compensating pulse preferably has a waveform including low frequency components. A width or a height of the compensating pulse varies in accordance with a location of the signal electrode, display pattern or other factors.

摘要： The present invention relates to the circuit size of a gate selection circuit of an active matrix liquid crystal panel. A plurality of clock signals are generated by a clock generation circuit, a shift register is formed by a plurality of latch circuits, and hold information is shifted in synchronization with enable clock signals. In a switch circuit, a plurality of clock signals are sequentially outputted as gate selection signals according to each output signal of the latch circuits. A driving method and a driving apparatus of the gate selection circuit are also disclosed.

A driving method of an electro-optic device including a first power source, a second power source, data lines, scan lines, signal lines, and pixel circuits, includes: a first step in which a light emitting element is in a non-light-emitting state, and a second transistor is turned on by a change of a pulse applied to a signal line; and a second step in which the scan line is sequentially and exclusively selected after the second transistor is turned on, a third transistor including a gate connected to a selected scan line is turned on, and a corresponding data voltage is written to a first node from the data line through the third transistor.

A storage line is provided separately from a common electrode line so that a level of a storage voltage applied through the storage line can be shifted once per frame. As the storage voltage is shifted using the storage line, the polarity of a voltage applied to a pixel electrode of a liquid crystal is inverted. One such storage line is provided per line of the pixels and storage capacitors of the pixels disposed above and below the storage line are alternately connected to the storage line.

摘要： A field sequential LCD and a method of initializing a liquid crystal using the same are provided. A reset voltage having a higher voltage level than a data signal is applied to initialize the liquid crystal. Accordingly, the field sequential LCD includes a reset voltage generator to generate the reset voltage having a higher voltage level than the data signal. The reset voltage is applied to the liquid crystal according to a selection operation of the source driver.
