摘要： An image pickup tube is provided with the third electrode to control the potential of the region which is not scanned by an electron beam in the image pickup tube target section including a target electrode and a photo-conductive film. A method for operating this image pickup tube is also disclosed. Thus, undesired image phenomena which are generated when the image pickup tube is used with a relatively high target voltage, e.g., image distortion, shading, a waterfall phenomenon and image inversion phenomenon can be suppressed, thereby realizing a high sensitivity image pickup tube.

摘要： A filter apparatus for removing plankton out of fresh or sea water containing the plankton. The filter apparatus comprises a filter housing provided with a partition plate having a plurality of through-holes thereby to partition the housing into a non-filtrate chamber and a filtrate chamber. A plurality of filter elements, each having open top end, a filter portion and non-filter portion, which are fitted in the through-holes of the partition plate to protrude the open top ends into the filtrate chamber. Plankton in the water are concentrated at the non-filter portion disposed near the partition plate and removed through an opening provided at a portion of the non-filtrate chamber near the partition plate.

摘要： A process of producing a hot dipped wire. During the wire drawing by the use of a water soluble lubricant, the base wire is passed over a passage surface made of a non-iron material. The drawn wire is heated in an atmosphere of a reducing gas for effectively removing an organic residue such as the lubricant and/or an oxide such as an iron oxide, inevitably adhered to the surface of the wire, and for annealing and for preheating the wire to accelerate a reaction between the wire and a molten hot dipping metal used in a subsequent hot dipping step.

The filter is so constructed that around a frame body is wound a filter wire at a constant slit space of less than 40 with a maximum error of 50%. A method for manufacturing such a filter is also disclosed which comprises winding, on a frame body, a filter wire paired with a spacer wire for keeping the slit space of said filter wire constant in such a manner that each turn is in contact with adjacent turns; and removing the spacer wire alone by chemical or physical means while holding these wires fixed so as to obtain a filter with a smaller slit space error.
