    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolation method for an existing building with a mixture of seismic isolation devices having a different vertical rigidity, which allows each of the seismic isolation devices having a different vertical rigidity to be applied with a designed axial force, achieving predetermined seismic isolation performance.SOLUTION: A seismic isolation device A having a low vertical rigidity is joined to an upper structure 5 and a lower structure 6 of an existing building, while a seismic isolation device B having a high vertical rigidity is joined to the lower structure 6 and not joined to the upper structure 5.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mounting means having high reliability and excellent workability which can mount an upper frame disposed above a base isolation device on the undersurface of an existing footing without using a post-construction anchor in a base isolation method for an existing building.SOLUTION: In a base isolation method for an existing building where a footing 2 and existing piles 3 are exposed by excavating under an existing building 1, the existing piles are removed in a state where an upper load is supported by a pressure-resistant board 9, constructed on an excavation bottom, through a jack 14, and a base isolation device C is installed between a lower frame A provided on the top surface of the pressure-resistant board 9 and an upper frame B provided on the undersurface of the footing 2, the upper frame B is molded at a position away from the undersurface of the footing 2 and vertical through holes 18 are excavated and formed in the footing 2, and after connecting anchoring reinforcements 19 each inserted into the through hole 18 and reinforcing bars 10b of the upper frame B, the upper frame B is lifted to a predetermined height below the footing 2 together with the anchoring reinforcements 19, and, in such a state, a grout material 21 is filled into the through holes 18 to anchor the anchoring reinforcements 19 in the footing 2.
