摘要： A reproduction speed conversion apparatus includes an audio decoding section; an audio reproduction speed conversion section; a video reproduction speed conversion section; and a video decoding section. The video reproduction speed conversion section determines whether reproduction speed conversion corresponding to a requested level is possible or not. When the reproduction speed conversion is determined to be possible, the video reproduction speed conversion section performs reproduction speed conversion corresponding to the requested level. When the reproduction speed conversion corresponding to the requested level is determined to be impossible, the video reproduction speed conversion section performs reproduction speed conversion corresponding to a prescribed level lower than the requested level, and outputs a second reproduction speed signal representing the prescribed level to the audio reproduction speed conversion section. The audio reproduction speed conversion section performs reproduction speed conversion corresponding to the prescribed level in response to the second reproduction speed signal.

The communication device includes a packet generation section and a communication control section. The packet generation section generates a first portion containing authentication information used for connection authentication for the second communication mode and a second portion other than the first portion. The communication control section performs control to cause the first communication section to transmit the first portion and to cause the second communication section to transmit the second portion after the connection authentication succeeds using the authentication information contained in the first portion.

摘要： A memory region on an IC card has a hierarchical structure. Each application allocated on the memory region is registered in a directory, and the memory region is managed in directory units. A personal identification code is set for each application and directory, and the access right is controlled in application units or directory units. 摘要： An information processing method has a mechanism wherein mutual verification is performed between tasks and a computer operating system at the time of activating tasks, thereby judging the validity of tasks. A mail transmitting task specifies a mail ID and address to a mail body, management information is written by the operating system to a secure memory queue list based on the security level of the mail transmitting task and the security level of a transmitting function, and contents wherein mail transmission contents are enciphered with the mail ID, address value of management information, and address value of the mail body, as a key, are written to a buffer. The operating system deciphers the contents of the buffer wherein the received contents exist, with the mail ID, address value of management information, and address value of the mail body, as a key, based on the security level of the mail receiving task and the security level of a receiving function, and copies this onto a buffer on the mail receiving task.
