摘要： The invention provides a remaining money management system which can predict and manage a demanded cash amount for an ATM. The remaining money management system includes one or more automatic cash transaction apparatus, and a remaining money management apparatus which manages remaining money amounts based on transaction data from the automatic cash transaction apparatus. The remaining money management apparatus includes a storage section for cumulatively storing transaction data from the automatic cash transaction apparatus, and a prediction section for calculating and predicting demanded cash amounts within a designated time for the automatic cash transaction apparatus based on transaction data in the past accumulated in the storage section. The remaining money amount management system can be applied to an apparatus for managing ATMs installed in monetary facilities such as banks.

When there is no break, it means the thickness sensor does not detect a corner fold but a foreign matter such as a tape mending a break. When there is a break, it means there is a corner break but no corner fold in the front end part. When there is no break, it is a normal state. 摘要： In a paper sheet processing apparatus comprising a function for determining the state of a paper sheet, an optical sensor generates template data by optically reading the state of an input paper sheet. A template data unit stores template data of a paper sheet. An image processing unit corrects gradient data of the whole paper sheet based on the gradient data of a predetermined area of the paper sheet obtained by the optical sensor. Based on comparison of the corrected gradient data with the template data, the state of the paper sheet is determined.

Such sheets are not carried to the discriminating unit, and hence a probability of causing a jam decreases.

摘要： The processing apparatus for discriminating bank notes has an insert sensor for detecting the insertion of a bank note, line sensors for sampling the pattern and so forth of the bank note, and a sensor memory in which sampling data collected by means of the line sensors is stored for each line. The insert sensor is provided only at the entrance side of the apparatus. If a bank note is conveyed on one side of the line sensor, the data sampling is started when the insert sensor detects the passage of the bank note; if a bank note is conveyed on the other side of the line sensor, the data sampling is started before the bank note is moved. The pattern image data is generated from the sampling data read out from the sensor memory and a bank note is discriminated by comparing the pattern image with a reference pattern. By making the collected pattern image data the same when the bank note is moved forward and when it is moved backward, the reference pattern data is made common, thereby decreasing the required memory capacity.
