    • A two-phase weaving air jet loom for parallely weaving two fabrics. The loom is so constructed as to form first and second warp yarn arrays which are separate from each other to define therebetween an intermediate space. First and second weft inserting or air ejection nozzles are disposed near and outside the outside edges of the first and second warp yarn arrays, respectively. The first and second weft inserting nozzles are arranged to project first and second weft yarns into the sheds of the first and second warp yarn arrays, respectively. Additionally, a yarn end portion treating device is provided to treat the end portion (projected over the inside edge of the warp yarn array) of the weft yarn so as to form a selvage and separate the same from a woven cloth.

    • By reducing the number of seek operations in an operation to play back a signal from a recording medium, the amount of data temporarily stored in a read buffer memory employed in a signal recording/playback apparatus is large enough to be output as a playback signal during a seek operation, allowing a continuous playback operation to be carried out. In order to reduce the number of seek operations, a signal is always recorded onto the recording medium in continuous free areas each having a size equal to or larger than a predetermined recording/playback time length which is typically set at 1 minute. If it is necessary to insert an additional signal having a length smaller than the predetermined recording/playback time length into a point of insertion in an area already occupied by an existing signal, a continuous free area with a size equal to or larger than the predetermined recording/playback time length is newly allocated to the additional signal. The additional signal is then recorded in the free area instead of being inserted into the point of insertion. Since the free area is larger in size than the length of the additional signal, the rest of the free area is filled up with a portion of the existing signal adjacent to the point of insertion.

    • A display device has a line scan driving circuit disposed in a horizontal direction of a display region and a pixel driving circuit (dot scan driving circuit) disposed in a vertical direction of the display for performing image display with pixel groups each forming one line in the vertical direction being scanned in the horizontal direction. Vertical-horizontal converting circuitry is provided for converting an image data stream supplied with n pixels in a horizontal direction and m horizontal lines in a vertical scanning direction into an image data stream with m pixels in a vertical direction and n vertical lines in a horizontal scanning direction, and the vertical-horizontal converted data is supplied to the display device by a display controlling circuit. That is, image data is supplied to the displaying device as a vertical-horizontal converted data stream and display operation is executed by vertical pixel rows being scanned in the horizontal direction, as a result of which the relatively small line scan driving circuit is disposed above or below the display region instead of the relatively large dot scan driving circuit and thus the area required for circuit mounting above/below the display region is reduced and the size of the display device in the vertical direction can be effectively reduced.

    • This invention is intended to provide a continuous parts feeder capable of continuously feeding parts to a metal mold installed in a pressure machine such as a press. An actual example of this invention consists of a parts transport pipe (40) that uses compressed air to feed parts, magazines (42, 44) that feed parts sequentially to this parts transfer pipe (40) with compressed air, and a coupling device (46) that can selectively switch the entrance of the parts transport pipe (40) between the outlets of at least two magazines (42, 44). It will also be equipped with an auxiliary compressed air supply device (57) that supplies auxiliary compressed air to the inside of the parts transport pipe according to information from the parts detector (56) which determines whether there are or are not parts inside the parts transport pipe (40), so that the transport of parts inside the parts transport pipe is performed smoothly. The coupling device (46) is automatically controlled by the automatic control device (48).
