    • A main lock mechanism and an auxiliary lock mechanism are juxtaposed with a switch body. The main lock mechanism including a switchable portion switchable between Lock position and Unlock position, an operation piece removably mounted to the switchable portion for switching the switchable portion, and a lock body which, when an actuator is inserted, disables or enables the rotation of a drive cam depending upon whether the switchable portion is at Lock position or Unlock position. The auxiliary lock mechanism including a drive portion actuated at transfer of the switchable portion to Lock position, an auxiliary contact alternating between a closed position and an open position depending upon whether the drive portion is non-operative or operative, and an operative portion which maintains the switchable portion at Lock position when the drive portion is non-operative and permits transfer of the switchable portion to Unlock position when the drive portion is operative.

    • The safety switch unit controls the source of power for machinery in accordance with the opening and closing of a room door. The safety switch includes an actuator (2) secured to a door, a cam shaft extending transversely of a direction in which the actuator (2) advances into the switch unit (1), the actuator (2) having a stepped top end in correspondence to which cam plates (13), (14a) and (14b) are provided within the switch unit (1) each capable of independently rotating, these cam plates having start sides (17) and (22) and a single cam follower pin (29) passed therethrough, thus protecting the switch unit (1) against mischievous or malicious operation.

    • There are provided, together with two microswitches 20 accommodated in a cylindrical compartment 13, a manipulation member 2 which can freely swing about a pivot portion 2a in the directions of arrows A and B, a transmission member 3 which can freely move in reciprocating motion within a specific range between a transmitting position and a non-transmitting position located along a radial direction of an arc which is the trajectory of the swing motion of the manipulation member 2 in the directions of the arrows A and B, a contact member 4 which can freely move in reciprocating motion within a specific range between an exposed position and a retracted position in the directions of arrows E and F, a driven member 5 which can freely move in reciprocating motion in the directions of arrows G and H, and a restricting part 6 fixed at a position opposing the contact member 4. The swing motion of the manipulation member 2 in the direction of the arrow B up to a point where the manipulation member 2 goes into contact with the restricting part 6 is transmitted to the microswitches 20 via the transmission member 3 and the driven member 5, and the swing motion of the manipulation member 2 in the direction of the arrow B is not transmitted to the microswitches 20 after the contact member 4 has gone into contact with the restricting part 6. This arrangement makes it possible to achieve improved operability of an enable switch, enhanced safety with the provision of multiple contact mechanisms, and easier installation of the enable switch on a portable operator panel.
