    • A loop-type data transmission/reception network system has a plurality of data processing stations and a single data transmission/reception route which interconnects said stations in a loop for transmitting necessary data between the stations, each of the stations comprising: (a) means for detecting a break-down in the data transmission/reception route between the station itself and the preceding station; (b) means responsive to the detection of a break-down in the data transmission/reception route between the station itself and the preceding station by the detection means for transmitting break-down information to the subsequent station; and means for reversing the transmission direction in the data transmission reception route in accordance with the break-down information transmitted by the break-down information transmitting means.

    • A network system having a single-wire common signal transmission line to which a plurality of data processing stations and a synchronous code signal generator are connected. Each station constituting the network system comprises: first means for repeatedly generating an address information bit signal based on a predetermined time series code for each predetermined synchronization timing, modulating each address information bit signal into a synchronous signal having predetermined pulsewidths which is dependent on a bit status of each address information bit signal and outputting the modulated synchronous signal to the common signal transmission line so as to be superposed on the serial bit data string, second means provided within each station for receiving the synchronous signal on the signal transmission line derived from the first means and extracting the bit status information of the predetermined time series code from the received synchronous signal on the basis of the pulsewidth of the received synchronous signal from the common signal transmission line, third means for determining bit combination pattern of a predetermined bit length inherent in the predetermined time series code from the predetermined time series code comprising each of the bit status information extracted by the second means, and fourth means for determining an operation mode of the station from the bit combination pattern determined by the third means.

    • A shift control device for an automatic transmission is disclosed. The device comprises a vehicle speed sensor for sensing vehicle speed, an engine load sensor for sensing engine load, a shift control circuit for generating shift instruction signal based on a predetermined shift pattern in accordance with output signals from both sensors, a shift pattern decision circuit including means for generating a resulting signal obtained by arithmetically operating upon the actually measured acceleration from the output voltage of the vehicle speed sensor, a reference acceleration setting means connected to both sensors for obtaining for every shift position a reference acceleration corresponding to the output signals delivered from the vehicle speed sensor and engine load sensor, a comparator means for comparing the actually measured acceleration with the reference acceleration to change a predetermined shift pattern based on the compared result, and means for setting a hysteresis characteristic to the change of the shift pattern.
