    • The DC-DC converter can calculate an input voltage without being influenced by a commutation time period of a primary-side current of a transformer. The DC-DC converter includes a transformer that has a primary and secondary winding, a switching circuit that is connected to the primary winding of the transformer to perform input voltage switching, a drive circuit that drives the switching circuit, a rectifier circuit that rectifies an AC voltage generated in the secondary winding of the transformer according to the switching operation of the switching circuit, and a controller that evaluates a value of the input voltage and performs predetermined processing based on the value of the input voltage. The controller detects a pulse signal emerging on an input side or an output side of the rectifier circuit, calculates a duty of the pulse signal, and evaluates the value of the input voltage based on the calculated duty.

    • An AC/DC converter of a power conversion apparatus includes filters, a PFC circuit, a first full bridge circuit, a first transformer, and a first rectifier circuit and converts an AC voltage supplied from the outside to a DC voltage. A DC/DC converter includes filters, a second full bridge circuit, a second transformer, and a second rectifier circuit and lowers a DC voltage output from the AC/DC converter. Constituent circuits of the AC/DC converter located on the primary side of the first transformer are mounted on the upper face of a cooling chassis which cools both the converters. Constituent circuits of the AC/DC converter located on the secondary side of the first transformer and constituent circuits of the DC/DC converter are mounted on the lower face of the cooling chassis.

    • A voltage drop of an output voltage of a DC-DC converter, caused by a wiring resistance, can properly be compensated at low cost. The DC-DC converter is connected to a low-voltage battery through an ignition switch and started up by the ignition switch. A transformation unit transforms a voltage inputted from a high-voltage battery and supplies the voltage to the low-voltage battery. A control circuit calculates a wiring resistance between the transformation unit and the low-voltage battery based on the voltage inputted from the low-voltage battery through the ignition switch in connecting the ignition switch and an output voltage and an output current of the transformation unit. The control circuit corrects a command value of the output voltage of the transformation unit based on the calculated wiring resistance to control the output voltage of the transformation unit. The invention can be applied to a DC-DC converter for electric-powered vehicle.
