    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat capable of absorbing a shock on an occupant at a rear collision by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: When large loads are applied on rear lifter links 6 and 6A at the rear collision, on the front side of a seat cushion SC, sector gears 5 and 5A are engaged with pinions 7 and 7A, and the pinions 7 and 7A are arranged behind the sector gears 5 and 5A. Accordingly, the pinions 7 and 7A function as stoppers, and large loads are concentrated on the rear side of a seat cushion SC. The rear lifter links 6 and 6A are free links to be followed by the front lifter link 5 via the side frame of the seat cushion. Thus, the rear lifter links 6 and 6A are easily deformed, the rear part of the seat cushion SC is easily and quickly sunk, and quick shock absorbance is exhibited by the rear lifter links 6 and 6A.
